7:20 And so it fell out. This Samaritan official scoffed at God’s word through Elisha (see II Kings 7:1,2), and Elisha’s prophetic warning was quickly fulfilled (II Kings 7:16-19). It is dangerous to scoff at the inspired word of God (I Thessalonians 5:3; II Peter 3:3-7,10).
